Brought one of these cheap DAC amps.. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283794891977

My dad did buy a expensive DAC, but I wanted one with tone controls on it as mostly I use headphones and need a bit of tweaking..

So I should be able to go optical out from the SACD player to this DAC unit..

1. Straighten the pins.
2. Replace the reset 555 with unit.
3. Remove/disconnect c102.
4. Connect pin 5 to whatever you want to switch (ie dual tos).

Usage:

Press and release reset. Within one second, press again to switch pin 5. (Two times: pin 6. Three times: pin 7.)

Tadaaa! :D

I’m more proud of the name than the unit itself. Re555et.

So 0.2mm nozzle, with 0.1mm steps.. first print look like our cat has been chewing it  I think smaller steps is aggravating the oozing issues.. will low the temp and try 0.2mm on Monday..

I also think PLA is to fragile for this kinda thing as well  But oddly the pink PLA is pretty strong. Could just be down to 0.4mm used..

@exxos is that over extrusion on the legs?

I've never used a 0.2mm nozzle but I'd expect to have to retune retraction, microsteps, etc.

How does print time compare to 0.4mm?

It's hard to say, just looks like its not cooled quick enough and blobbed all over the place. In other places looks like its shrunk.

Yep, its my first time, so expect issues.

@exxos thought it might time wise.
