Good luck finding one Even if it's a basket case, it's fun to fix!

I should probably sell my other Beeb Master as I don't use it but parting with these things is always difficult
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: Stuff and Things.
Did my A-Level Computer Science using one, and have very fond memories of it. I wrote a database system on it for the scratchcard round that I used to do for the local football team, 'TicketBase', ah the nostalgia.
Re: Stuff and Things.
@BennehBoy its was the BBC B for me, we had one Master but that was the year I left college, so never got round to using it.
Now mine has the Pi coprocessor, programmable rom board and the SD to floppy emulator with more games than I know what to do with it.
I'll dig it out soon once all the other projects are complete.

Re: Stuff and Things.
We'd just got BBC Bs at school as I was finishing my 'O' Levels, and I did part of my 'A' level design using them, and then I did an apprenticeship in the RAF so never got to see a Master in the flesh. I remember the STs coming out in my 2nd year, but didn't get one until much later when they'd transformed from the ST to the STFM.PhilC wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:40 pm @BennehBoy its was the BBC B for me, we had one Master but that was the year I left college, so never got round to using it.

Re: Stuff and Things.
This just arrived:
And I have to say it's really in superb physical condition.
I'll get it properly tested over the weekend hopefully.

Re: Stuff and Things.
Those slider potentiometers can be a bit scratchy. Nothing a shot of Electrolube and some operation can't fix.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

And I have a lot of electrolube to spare!! Due to some order cock-ups etc I ended up with 3 cans and couldn't be bothered to return them.stephen_usher wrote: ↑Fri Mar 04, 2022 3:04 pm Those slider potentiometers can be a bit scratchy. Nothing a shot of Electrolube and some operation can't fix.
Looks barely used if I'm honest, and still in the box. One slider is a switch, so should be fine, the other does feel smooth so will see how it fares when I try it out.

Re: Stuff and Things.
Ok, so a bit of a disappointing day today.
I had to actually go into the office with the rest of my team for a 'reconnect' day, which was fine but up at 06:00 and home at about 20:00 made for a long day with just over 2 hours each way. Could be worse though.
Then I dropped my very expensive mobile phone in the pavement, and now have a crater over the middle of where the keyboard appears rendering it unusable for most things.
So now I'm digging through the insurance to try and figure out what cover I have and what excess will have to be paid.
Also, it seems our backup phone (An old iPhone 6S that my wife used to have) has a failing battery, so have had to order one of those.
Harumph.
Still, these are not bad problems compared to those the poor Ukrainians are suffering, so I will hush my mouth now and remind myself of just how lucky I am.
