atari030 wrote: Thu Nov 19, 2020 4:41 am Its coming good down here. Melbourne can vary between a few days or a few weeks. NZ just add four weeks to be safe..... It isn't really a black hole, more of a giant capacitor.
Lol, I like the analogy. My parts from Aus have been sitting processed by the air carrier for 5 days, I'm just guessing that for smaller stuff they will be filling an air transport container and processing once it's full.

I guess we'll see. The part from NZ has been 'in transit with airline' for 18 days now and there has never been more than 7 days between updates. That's worrying.

NZ's South island to here took six weeks, from the UK to AU from Exxos was a month. I think it just depends how the wind takes it. Tracking has been abysmally wrong too, I wouldn't hold too much to that.

I want to get more from the Exxos store but decided to finish my PSU recapping before embarking on yet another project that might take weeks for deliveries. I have a box of HV caps coming from WA to finish the ST's. I need to stop checking the mail box... a watch box never arrives.

More A8 goodness arrived today, my Pokey MAX!

It's going in my 800XL to complement the VBXL and U1MB and will give me stereo out (Essentially dual POKEY) via the 1088XEL compatible video out. If I like it, I might get another for my 65XE, though I may just get a dual pokey board for that as I'll have a spare POKEY from the 800XL. We'll see!

As for my vLA81, a ZX81 ULA replacement, that's looking like lost in the post, thankfully the chap who makes them has offered to send another.

Had no idea that the little cut out at the front of the MSTE and TT matched a bump on the bottom of the keyboard so you can make them one piece like this:

@Icky Spot the blatant product placement :)

Hehe. I noticed this decades ago. :-)

It's a pity that the cable gets in the way a bit though.

I love the TT / Mega STE keyboard not a cheery switch like the Mega though.

Perfect placement @rubber_jonnie, just where it should be. Reminds me I need to add some more placement myself.

You sure do!

On another note, the vLA81 I ordered mid-October, which I thought was lost in the post, arrived today!! That was pretty much 6 weeks today, very pleased it's here now :)

I just hope my message to Charles got through before he sent me a replacement, as we both thought it was lost!!
