Re: I might be a bit quiet...
Thanks Icky, it's been a bit of a trial, though if I can get the Electron going this week I'll have fixed 3 computers in 3 months, so pretty pleased since I'd never fixed any of them specifically before and was coming in newIcky wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 8:42 amCongratulations @rubber_jonnie it’s been bit of a journey for you.rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 16, 2021 5:30 pm Finally, we have a completion date!! 29th June, very much looking forward to getting moved in!!

Re: I might be a bit quiet...
Considering you said you were going to be quiet @rubber_jonnie you have been quite the opposite with the BBC and Electron

Re: I might be a bit quiet...
I did say 'might'.
I just couldn't help myself, and I was quiet on the ST front Saying that I don't have any broken ST's to fix right now, and fixing them is the fun part for me

Re: I might be a bit quiet...
Oh to have the time to fix my STs... though my latest addition is appearing to work just fine, so I will choose one of the broken boards to be the donor for the H5C1 when that arrives...rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 10:31 am I just couldn't help myself, and I was quiet on the ST front Saying that I don't have any broken ST's to fix right now, and fixing them is the fun part for me

Re: I might be a bit quiet...
Thanks!! Not long to go now, then perhaps I might be able to get up to see my parents and rescue the ST that's been languishing there for nearly a year now!!JezC wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 12:39 pmOh to have the time to fix my STs... though my latest addition is appearing to work just fine, so I will choose one of the broken boards to be the donor for the H5C1 when that arrives...rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Thu Jun 17, 2021 10:31 am I just couldn't help myself, and I was quiet on the ST front Saying that I don't have any broken ST's to fix right now, and fixing them is the fun part for me
Great news about the house completion!
I have 2 H4s that need building, so I will likely pick a couple of machines and sacrifice them on the altar of exxos
Looking forward to having not only a dedicated decent (My last one was very cramped) workshop space, but also a proper retro space where I can have stuff out permanently. Then you can also add in the extra storage we'll have in terms of a garage that we didn't have before too.
Ahh, bliss!

Re: I might be a bit quiet...
The best answer for that is mostly...........
I may revisit in the future though, as a working one would be a nice thing to have
Hopefully my new workshop will have a big enough bench to allow for up to 3 projects at once, which will be a huge help.
