You probably want to look at doing it slightly differently: try hdmi to VGA and then get a VGA to Scart adaptor.
I have personally used this adaptor for converting my OSSC HDMI output to VGA and it doesn't seem to have any quality loss and is also zero lag: Here
Then get a VGA to SCART cable: Here
This might work a bit better.
Here's a video of some guy using the Tendak to convert his PS4 to VGA: Here

Shocking experience.
Something's going on. Started with me getting a static shock when I switched my VGA switcher (since tried to avoid touching the metal casing).
Next I got a shock off the light switch by accidentally touching one of the cover screws.
Today I though I'd been shocked by my usb port that sits on the desk but wasn't sure. Then when I turned my hifi amp off I got a noticable shock off the switch.
Should I be worried? Why am I getting so many shocks? Could it be my slippers causing it? (since I'm shuffling around with a busted rib)
It just seems to have escalated.

I can't use fragranced things. It says add white vinegar but...nah
Could be my dehumidifier. Since I live in a damp valley (former swamp lol)
If you don't think it's serious I could just discharge it on the light screw before touching electronic things I care about. I always get shocks off freezer doors in supermarkets.

dehumidifier will dry out the air and make it worse in terms of static. I used to walk around permanently charged that my old job. I only had to walk past a computer and it would crash.. Several metres away...
Walk around naked for a bit and see if things improve or not

You were Automan:
I did replace my slippers because they had split a few weeks ago, so I figure that's also made it worse.
I'd be self conscious even if only my plants could 'see' me.

Seems to be more insulation on this CRT.
as opposed to the one that died after 2 days:
Also the new one has a tougher cover and I don't get any static building up in front of the screen.
Watched both blade runner films on it. Interstellar, The Goonies, After Life on Netflix and still going!
Just goes to show. The other one looked brand new and died in 2 days. This is in great knick externally but I can see a lot of dust inside. Still working a week later.

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.
Heh, thanks for the reminder. I really enjoyed that series as a kid. I watched it again just a few years ago and, well, erm, probably should have left it as a childhood memory.

Re: The Cosmic Puppet's Universe.
I just checked and Glen A. Larson was pretty much responsible for most of my TV viewing 'growing up'
I actually have a complete bluray set of Battlestar Galactica that also contains Galactica 1980.
