So I did a tech presentation of the Phoenix Platform and efforts of @exxos and myself in this area at work this week. It was dumbed down a bit as it was targeting tech folk but not necessarily people who know about the Atari ST.
It was well received and it is a precursor to the presentation I had planned for this event, all be it putting back in the more technical detail. In addition I plan to bring along a fully populated Phoenix board in the sense of an H5 with all the Phoenix E-boards to show the platform off and may be a few sneak peaks of some behind the scenes areas to go with it.

Re: South coast retro computer event...any interest??
Hi guys.
Sorry, have had a busy time lately with this 'real life' malarkey.
@Icky Thats great news. If you would like to let me know/discuss here or in a PM what sort of time you want to be doing this, then I can get it on the flyer, which I hope to have done in the near future.
@alexh Would be great to see you there, if you can make it.
Im going to attempt to finish the event flyer in the next week (or so, depending on some unknown variables), so I may PM some of you guys to see if I can get some confirmation of machines that will be shown off, to put into the finalized flyer.
(Hope this makes sense? My fingers are rushing to type this faster than my brain ATM! )
Anyway, more later, when I get some time.

Re: South coast retro computer event...any interest??
While I'm still here, and deciding what to bring...
Would anyone be interested in seeing any of the following add ons?:
C128 128Mb REU
C64 Final Chesscart (basically a cart with a 6502 clone 5Mhz 'co processor' which is used to, er, play chess faster! Is that a potential future hack or what?)
C64 FM synth cart
C64 C= Sampler
Amiga A500+ with Vampire card in Checkmate 1500+ case.
Amiga DCTV PAL unit with CompVid>RGB converter.
Amiga Colorburst 24-bit framebuffer display unit
C64DTV
ST Replay16 sampler
ST Rombo Vidi ST (12-bit)
More bits as and when I can remember them.

I have something a little older 1977 AY-3-8500 based pong game that I'm just fixing up and getting to work properly via composite output. If I can't make it down there then I can also send it down. Perhaps there could be a Pong tournament?
At the moment its all working but the colours are way too bright, so I've got to give them a bit of a tweak or I'll need to send sun glasses down with it

If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

@PhilC
I just had to look that up...so it's a SOC from the late 70's Great stuff!
Yeah, we could do with some of that.
Looks like it might be an idea for me to bring the odd CRT (or three) down for all the old skool gear with RF outputs.
(I've literally just finished a working weekend, so hold tight and I will try to get some more stuff sorted for the event over the next few days or so).

Great! Hope to see you there.
For anyone still thinking of (or undecided about) exhibiting any retro gear, Ive set a deadline for the official event flyer for Wednesday 15th June.
So if you feel you would like to have your special hard/software featured in the flyer, let me know ASAP and I will do my best to fit it in.
