Only four left !

So basically all sold in under 24 hours again.

I have been talking to Urban about selling these in kit form for those who want to assemble them themselves. I have also been talking to him about a slight redesign, with the intention of myself making some up at some point in the future. The revision to basically allow quicker assembly in my reflow oven.

Just to keep people in the loop.. The UBE adapters are undergoing a PCB revision to make them quicker to assemble...

The PCB is still undergoing tweaks currently. I will post here when there is news, but with 2-3 weeks wait each PCB revision.. its going to take a while. I hope after xmas they will be in kit form initially until we have time to build and assemble them..

Christmas times. The Swedish postal office is even slower at delivering stuff, so I’ll probably have the test PCBs this week..

Long story short. I messed up. Forgot a connection when rushing to get my order in time before Chinese New Years. However, I’m waiting for a batch of PCBs to arrive, ought to be next week.

Some updates:
* Better design(*).
* ISP header for hacking/uploading new firmware.
* New firmware with debugging capabilities.

All to be released at GitHub when checked.

(*) The old design had some flaws which could mean that a board wouldn’t work if the PCB has some imperfections, which lead to ~10% fail rate. And the volume pot has been rotated somewhat to allow another type of DIN13 to be attached.

Update: I've got "a bunch" of PCBs delivered yesterday and they seem to be ok. I've soldered three as test as of now and programmed one. Also, I've changed my production method to using hot air and that ought to bring up the number of boards I can (be bothered to) make in a day from 5-6 to at least 20.

The process? Start by mounting backside SMD of X boards, then the front, repeat. And then do the THT soldering of 20 boards in one sitting.

I have one of these. I've come across a RGBS/CGA/RGBHV/EGA/VGA to HDMI device I'm thinking of getting.

What signal is actually being past out from this UBE Video Adapter?

Here’s a nice write up on the Atari ST video signal.
