PAK issues
Re: PAK issues
Ok, not sure if that Gal worked as just programmed yet another Gal v4_50ac and it boots again
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.
Re: PAK issues
Strange. The only explanation I see is that something went wrong with the programming.
Which GAL and which programmer are you using?

Re: PAK issues
I am using lattice gal20v8b 15lph.
The programmer is a tl866 2 plus with latest software

Re: PAK issues
Both sounds good to me. Please read back the JEDEC from the GAL U4 and send it to me.
Re: PAK issues
Did you really select GAL20V8B in the software while programming? The different versions (with different letter prefixes) require a different order of programming the fuses. If you write a GAL20V8B for example as GAL20V8, it'll be programmed wrong. It will seemingly read back correctly, because the programmer of course reads back the fuses in the same (incorrect) order in which it programmed them. Still the GAL will not work.Forgottenmyname wrote: ↑Fri Feb 08, 2019 10:33 pm I am using lattice gal20v8b 15lph.

Re: PAK issues
Good advice and yes it was the GAL20v8B set on the programmer.

Re: PAK issues
That's the wrong JED file!
The read back JED is "V4_50ac" (thats an older revision).
Please use "P4_52", which I have sent.
And please check the other GALs as well, make sure its the latest revision.
