If I have Read Disk Config. ticked it gives a can't write fat error, but if I untick that and specify 09/79 it works. Are there instructions for this anywhere?

Are you reading disk config after trying to format it badly ? because if so, your just reading bad config and trying to format with them. Sounds like you just need to format 9/79 then as if anything else doesn't work, then your drive must be pretty bad not to even support 10 seconds or 82 tracks.

EDIT: The default preset button does 9/79.

Maybe I should use Fast Copy 3 as it's only set up for what I need.

Where as this Fast Copy Pro has a lot more settings which I don't understand.

You don't need to change anything at all.. pretty much load the program, click default preset, click format disk, you don't need to do or change anything else. Thats it!

Aw. Got you. Just pressed it. I should go back to bed until I have a brain. It's probably my memories of using fast copy 3 getting in the way. Sorry dude. Feel like an idiot!!!!
