You need to have a command prompt open and run it from there, it isn't a windows application. It won't work if you double click on it.

In the GW directory type: gw read mydisk.scp

mydisk.scp is the output file.

If you don't have a floppy connected it will complain, but it should still see the GW.

I'm very surprised you don't know how to do that.

Nevertheless, in that command prompt type:

cd downloads\greaseweazel-v0.26-win\greaseweazel-v0.26\

then press enter. You should change to that directory.

Type dir and press enter, it will list all the programs/files/directories in that directory, gw.exe should be one of them.

then type: gw read mydisk.scp

Like I said, without a FDD connected it will complain, but if you have correctly done the install as per the instructions, it should at least see the GW. Then when you have power to the FDD and it is connected it should work.

If it doesn't then you need to refer back to the software install instructions.

Even that doesn't work even though you can see I have it in the folder.

I'm sorry about this. I wrongly assumed that the exe would open the command line to let you begin typing commands.

try cd \downloads\greaseweazel-v0.26-win\greaseweazel-v0.26\

If that doesn't work just do each directory individuallly

So:

cd downloads
cd greaseweazel-v0.26-win

until you get to the bottom of the directory.

If you double click on a commandline executable that is expecting input it will just open and close.

I've tried that already and I get "System can't find the path specified"

That's the same

I don't get it. I know the folder is in my downloads and yet it's still saying it can't find it. This is the stuff nervous breakdowns are mad of

Got it!

it was the "-win\" that was stuffing it.
