Re: Got a Greaseweasle and now I'm clueless.
You did get it.
It looks like the GW is working and seen by your PC, so now you need to get the FDD hooked up with an external PSU and drop in a disk (Any disk with a few files on will do) and test.
Then you can try to configure the GW floppy power and if it doesn't work there is probably not enough power over USB for both the GW and FDD.

The -win was taken from your screenshot, so I don't know where that came from, unless the screengrab was of the zip file.Cosmic Puppet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 4:20 pm Screenshot 2021-04-08 161929.jpg
Got it!
it was the "-win\" that was stuffing it.

Good stuff. BTW I can't tell you how to drive GW myself other than what I've explained, you'll need to get more extensive help on that from the web.Cosmic Puppet wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 4:26 pm

Re: Got a Greaseweasle and now I'm clueless.
Anyway, thanks to you I can now connect it up knowing that it's working and try a disk. I didn't even know I could connect my drive to the PSU like that, so that's a good thing to come out of this for me.rubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Thu Apr 08, 2021 4:30 pmGood stuff. (Not a windows user, so when you see '$ ./gw'' you should just type gw.exe or so)
If you type info it should show you that you have an F7, version etc.
... and this is how you read a disk image. I rip to .SCP format, and then use Aufit or HxC Floppy software to convert to .STX for use with emulators.
I've never used the Windows GUI app.
