4.5Go SCSI HDD
4.5Go SCSI HDD
Hello!
I have an external big box noisy SCSI drive with a 4.5gi in.
I tried to create partitions on it using HD DRIVERS V9, but it detecting only 1024mo.
I know, the TOS is very limited, but I'm wondering if I can create 1x20mo + 4x1go drives ?
Not sure where to create this on HDDRIVER.
Should I use another software?

Re: 4.5Go SCSI HDD
To use the 4,5GB you need a ICD compatible Hostadapter. When the Hostadapter are not ICD compatible you can only use 1GB ...
Re: 4.5Go SCSI HDD
I was thinking to be able to create multi 1go partition like I did with my 4go CF on the IDE port.
perhaps by using another software, but no, I'll not buy this kind of ICD host adapter.

Re: 4.5Go SCSI HDD
What Atari ST and what Hostadapter you use?
Re: 4.5Go SCSI HDD
Actually, I wanted to use this 4.5go external SCSI drive on my FALCON connected on the SCSI port at the back.
BUT.
I wanted to use this drive on my ATARI STE on the ACSI port still at the back as well.
like I do with my 256mo SCSI drive.

Re: 4.5Go SCSI HDD
The Atari Falcon has not the 1GB Limit, so you can use the full Drive.
For the ST/STE you can buy a Suska SCSI Hostadapter. This Hostadapter is ICD compatible for use more than 1GB SCSI Harddrives.
