PAK-68/20 - Repository

I'm starting a thread here to capture as much useful info about the PAK-68/20 as possible.

If you have any notes, tips or general information, here's the place to put it.

Updates coming soon.
Collector of old Atari things:
800XL + Ape Warp mod, 1010 cassette, 1050 + Happy mod, 65XE (128k) & XC12, 2600jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Atari 520ST + Gotek, 1040STF, 4160STE with 32Mhz booster, ROM switcher and CosmosEx
Plus the rest..
C64 + 1541 and cassette, 2x Sinclair QL, Mac Classic, Mac Performa 6200, Amiga 1200, ICL One Per Desk, Epson HX20, Dreamcast, original Xbox, SNES and a bunch of other bits n bobs I can't remember right now. :D

So here is the start, I have a basic parts list:

u2 MC68020RCL6
u3 MC68881RC16 or MC68882RC16 (also faster)
U4 GAL2OVS(U4_13)
U5 GAL16V8(U5_14 or us_16)
U6 GAL2OVS-15(U6_30, 22 or 40)
U7 74F86(must be F-type!)
U8-11 27C512-t20
U2 GAL20V8-1s(U22 -31, 21 od.41)

OSZI optional quartz oscillator,
Frequency depending on FPU

Resistors
R1, R3 560R
R2 1Ok
R5, R6 1k
R4, 4.7k
R7-R15 4k7

Capacitors
C1, C2 22pf
C3-C8 10uf/16V Tantalum.
C9-C18 100nf

Others
64 pin DIL socket (U1)
3x24 pin DIP/DIP sockets (U2, U4 & U6)
1x20 pin DIP/DIL socket (U5)
4x32 pin DIP/DIL sockets (ROMs, U8-U11)
1x14 pin DIP/DIL (U7)
68 pin PLCC socket (For FPU)
MC68020RCL6 Socket
Lengths of trimmable header strip
about 14 jumpers (The small blocks that jump the pins on the headers)

R4 is also 4,7K

C3-C8 are 10uF/16V Tantal

Thanks Frank, that;s great.

I've corrected it now, probably an issue between translation and my typing later!

Ok, that is great. Fortunately, I can read and understand German. I wonder how I am going to fit this in a normal STFM.... Probably sell one of my STFM’s and get a Mega ST instead... :P

Mine is likely to be on a bare STFM mainboard I have spare.

Ok, I have updated the parts list slightly, adding sockets and other miscellaneous parts. I've also added the documentation Frank kindly sent me with the PCB I bought.

As soon as I have a full complement of parts (Working out what I have & haven't got atm, and what I need to buy), I will begin my build, and will post my progress here.

I'm also short on some tools, such as GAL programmer and ROM burner, so that will likely hold me up a bit.
