Help with identifying mobo
Help with identifying mobo
Hi all, apologies for my ignorance but I was wondering if it is possible to identify via these 2 (awkward) pictures, if I have the type of motherboard that can be upgraded to 4mb ram or not.
I know the pics are horrible, but I'm a bit reluctant to pull the entire thing apart without knowing much about it.
Thanks for your help!

Re: Help with identifying mobo
Really need to see the whole board.. There are a LOT of revisions, some similar, some very different.
That actually looks to be 2 totally different motherboards ? CPU under the drive, then CPU not under the drive...

It seems to be one of these: viewtopic.php?t=749
You can see C103175 printed on the board in this picture: https://imgur.com/Xrc4V1j
What you can't tell is the revision, but since you have it part disassembled, removing the top RF shield is quite trivial to do, it's just a few screws and some twist tabs, so you may as well go just a little bit further to see what you have.

Re: Help with identifying mobo
I promise it is the same board, I just tilted the camera left and down a bit.
That's handy to know, I've actually reassembled this since, I had the board off a while ago when I took the pictures and put it back as the I wasn't allowed to leave an Atari in the middle of the living roomrubber_jonnie wrote: ↑Tue Jul 31, 2018 11:55 amIt seems to be one of these: viewtopic.php?t=749

I'll have another look in a few days, as I'm busy/preparing for holiday at the moment.
Thanks so much for the responses and also 10/10 name rubber_jonnie

What, you don't have a room in your house that's dedicated to Ataris?
