I did that Mega ST backplate :) You're right I haven't uploaded my Atari-stuff to Youmagine. Those are mounting holes for DPDT switches with screws.

(Btw, my Ultimaker 2 prints 22x22x24 or something so I can do quite large parts. Unfortunately just below a complete lunchbox MSTE bay ... )

I've done a Mega STE VME-backplate as well with mounting holes for the Lightning-USB ports. It's in that thread.

I don't spend too much time on making things pretty, so a lot of things are just functional (like SCSI2SD holder for a Mega STE lunchbox original hard disk version) - those I never upload anywhere.

Great initiative. The one thing I've been looking for myself is Atari frontplates for Epson 300/340/380 disk drives. I replace a lot of faulty Atari diskdrives with original Epson/HP versions, but I've now run out of original frontplates ...

Perhaps we could store models in a place like Thingiverse? Posting them here will probably become quite messy, especially with revisions etc.

I've created a group on Thingiverse (I put a single model of the disk drive post in it), so let's see what you guys think about that approach. We can use this thread for announcements and link to the Thingiverse group.

So here it is:

Oh, send me a DM if you want to submit models there as well and I'll make you a group member.

If it helps I can create a new forum for models.. Then at least will be a local copy of finals here... ?

Sounds good. Perhaps we then can apply the convention of posting the models to the forum WITH a link to the model on Thingiverse, for convenience?

Yeah good idea. I normally post downloads on here with the source location as well anyway. Will setup a new section later today.

Mine just just in a red anti-static bag inside my falcon

Found these images which gives the idea...
I'd love to design a bracket. But the problem is, I don't own a Falcon and besides, it's impossible to get the right dimensions based on pictures. If I had the adapter and the metal bracket in my hands however...

I did have one in my falcon, but this is going back like 20 years now... Only chance if someone here can loan you one to copy...

You might not need the bracket really, probably just the hole dimensions, as the legs are like the PSU ones anyway.. you only need to know height, which isn't that important, overall dimensions can be works out pretty close.. you probably need the dimensions of a CF adapter, I can send one if needs be.. Really would just be the feet and a flat base with 4 holes for the CF adapter.

As long as those dimensions are measured meticulously (0.1mm precision), we should be fine. As holes tend to be sloped on the surface, it's best to measure both the inside and the outside diameter.

It's just hard to verify measurement correctness without any actual hardware. I'm fine with trying, just someone else has to print it and verify it, possibly sending feedback for a revision.
