3D models of ST parts

Post by sandord »

I drew 3D models of some ST parts (PSU bracket and floppy post) lately and I was thinking, perhaps it could be of interest to others to build up a library of models so those with a 3D printer can print them at home to replace missing/broken parts in their STs, Falcons etc.

Since my 3D printer can only print models up to 12x12x12 cm and I figure most 3D printers won't go much larger, I think we should focus on smaller parts.

Do you guys & gals have any suggestions for parts that you might need to replace or envision replacing in the future, which I and others can design and leave and STL file of here?

Oh, I wanted to add that I'm working on an update of the wonderful Gotek + OLED model from BRAINCELL (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2664753) to optimize it for the Atari STF casing slot.

Using this bracket instead of the original casing has two big advantages (this counts for the original model in the link as well):

- You won't need to make the floppy cable longer because the Gotek goes upside down on the printed bracket so the cable doesn't need to be twisted
- The OLED display (which you can order separately, it's a fairly common part) fits in nicely.

I think a falcon cf adapter bracket would be useful.

Can you provide a link to the actual product? Or at least a picture? I have only a faint idea of how this adapter would look like.

 so you mean that your CF card is just dangling inside your Falcon? I think that includes a converter cable or adapter of some sorts, right?

I wish I still had my Falcon, if only I hadn't sold it back then... The worst thing is that I spend the cash I got for it on a PC. God knows how much I spent on PCs in my life :(

This is a better Gotek solution, but for MSTE. Obviously can be converted to STFM-STE

I don't remember where I found this replacement for the Mega ST backplate.
I think it was supposed to hold some USB connectors or such.
But I can't find where I saw it first.
I hope it will come handy to anyone.
