Ideas for a 1040STF with a socket on the wrong side?

Post by 32bitminus » Fri Feb 22, 2019 2:14 am

So I just picked up a 1040 STF and it looks like it will be more than just a retrobrite and cleaning.

I need to add the composite sync circuit, after that I can test the system out and see if it boots. previous owner did this:

So I have a socket soldered on top of the CPU, any ideas for MODs I could do easily now that I have a socket on top?

Ohh thanks, this is bringing back memories, I used to have a Spectre GCR and a Supercharger, I kinda remember looking at these boards. Was probably scared of all the soldering at the time.
