Not died.Far from it. Smonson has designed and currently building a more integrated version to test out. Then it will put on us testers to test out.

I'd be very interested and ready to support this if it was also available for the STE. Please remind me, but didn't I read somewhere that, at least at this point, this isn't being pursued? Something about some of the chip's functions being absorbed into other chips in the STE's design, or something along those lines?

Thanks, and awesome work guys, even if I can't benefit from it.

That was it. Thanks Exxos.

I was hoping that someone would say, "Oh no, that got corrected a long time ago. We found a way to do it!"

I really wasn't expecting it though.

There might be a way, if I remember correctly, where the HDMI-board could sit pass-through between the motherboard and the original STE GST-MCU. Slightly different project though.

Yeah, I also think it's doable. Instead of emulating the shifter it'd just read the RGB output pins, hsync, and vsync, and act as a traditional scandoubler. But since I don't own an STE I'm gonna have to leave it to someone else.

Nice, it got smaller and single board.

I should really give my original model a go in my Mega ST 4. Have a Mega ST 1 coming this weekend too, so lots of opportunities.
