Ok, SILs removed:

As IngoQ said in his thread, solder pads are fragile. I think no matter how carefully you desolder on ATARIs, you always manage to damage some. :-x

I will have to nicely repair them with some PCB rivets (and clean the remaining dust on the motherboard :D ).

Solder pads repaired :D :

Checked continuity with my trusty multimeter and everything's alright.

I'll now have to tin the rivets and then solder all the SILs.

Meanwhile, here are some pics of my previous mods:

The +5V connector was a real b...h, but thanks to the help of some forum members, I managed to get it done.

Having a standard FDD connector is really useful. I can now connect my FDD drive (A:) and my HxC (B:) with my custom made flat cable.

My FDD is a SMD-300 (thanks to troed), thus letting me to use the original bezel. It's also modded to work with Exxos HD kit.

That's all for the moment.

Cheers.

@HigashiJun I didn't know pcb rivets were a thing. I dont suppose you have a link to the datasheets etc?

You've got several PCB rivets makers, but the one I use is Rembrandt Electronics, from the Netherlands:

Their rivets are reliable and not so expensive.
