Parts needed for a project - Can you help?

Post by rubber_jonnie »

I'm trying to get a lead on an Intel MAX 10 FPGA, part number 10M08SCE144C8G.

I only need one, but I know of somebody else interested over at stardot as it's for an Electron ULA replacement if anybody has any to spare.

I have looked at Mouser, Digikey, RS, Farnell, UTSource and even Ali Express! eBay has then at around £65 a pop and I'm not willing to risk it being a fake.

I also found a Hong Kong website purporting to have some, but it looks kinda shady.

Findchip does show Digikey and others as having them until you follow the link which takes you to a page showing no stock.

So the question is, does anybody have any of these they might be willing to part company with for cash money?

If so please let me know.

TIA

Utsource shows the part but you have to inquire as to price. Seem the globe chip supply chain ⛓ is still not working

Yep, that's what I saw too. Everywhere else seems to be upwards of 11 weeks lead time :(

It seems that most FPGA devices have gone to lead times of 52 weeks or more recently, unless you want 10000 at SPOT pricing, in which case it's only months of delay.
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

It was 04's and I think I have them @exxos

@rubber_jonnie - you can use the other variants (grades) if they are available i.e. different last three letters 10M08SCE144xxx

If you have the core in Quartus you can run a migration test to see if the 02's or 04's are pin compatible and if the core fits into the smaller chips.

Pretty sure it has to be an 08, but I can check back with the projects originator to see if it might work. I'll let you know.

Thanks for all your input, much appreciated.

Good to know, I will ask about that too.

The number I have is straight from the BoM, so I just don't know without asking.
