Yes, looks like...

I have to do further tests to see if everything is alright and if I can really access a CD or DVD.

Just a small update...

Made some simple tests with the STGA adapter and here are the results.

It is a really nice to have a 1024x768 desktop in 256 colours with the Mega ST.

I will now have to experiment with NVDI 5.03 and see what it looks like, provided NVDI copes well with Idek's STGA drivers.

Frank Lukas should be the most appropriate person to answer this question.

Thanks !

The STGA is definitely a great improvement for the Mega ST line.

It is worth the investment.

@HigashiJun Please tell me the name of that damn sexy monitor... I need to know!

Also did you need to tweak the monitor profiles with the VMG program to get perfect sync? Or did it just work straight away.

The monitor is a NEC MultiSync LCD 1990FXp.

It also supports 15Khz, so works great with a ST2VGA adapter too.

I did not tweak anything, just selected 1024x768x256 and it worked straight away.

NVDI5 or ET4000 is a little bit faster but the nova driver make no trouble.

Select "manuell" graphics card with the following values:
Screenbaseaddress: $FEC00000
Registerbaseaddress: $FECF03B0

Make sure "16bit I/O" is selected and use the following
register values for the CLUT:
8bit : 00
15bit : A0
16bit : C0
24bit : F0

Yes, as specified in the instructions I got from you when I received my STGA adapter (and also the VOFA one).

But would it be possible to use Idek's STGA drivers with NVDI 5.03 installed ?

Yes

Install NVDI5 with the option "NOVA" ...

NVDI will work as GDOS only.
