Diagnosis kit for Atari ST/STE/TT/Falcon (TT version patched)

Post by francouai » Sat Jan 06, 2018 9:48 am

Hello!

Anyone here got the Eprom SW and the board layout of this cartridge ?
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Diagnosis-kit- ... 2396594285

I'd like to make one for my atari ST/Falcon.
Note that the cartridge contains the Ultimate Ripper Cartridge Software and SuperMon.

very cool stuff!

Sounds great. Price is as usual on E-Bay - high. Maybe seller calculated his time spent on writing SW. It is not problem to make PCB for cartridge. And will be cheaper with 2 8-bit EPROMs, even cheaper with 2 Flash EPROMs. Considering 'Eprom SW' - I will not go in how to get it.

I'm not sure about these SW burnt on the EPROM as companies doesn't exist anymore. ;)

Only one I saw is this one..

Though I had discussion about 16bit ROM before I think on here some time ago... I think someone said it won't work for things like serial output because the circuit cannot do single 8 bit access to cartridge correctly.. not without some more logic anyway...

EDIT:
I see theres a XOR on the ebay one.. no idea what that is for..
4MB STFM 1.44 FD- VELOCE+ 020 STE - 4MB STE 32MHz - STFM 16MHz - STM - MEGA ST - Falcon 030 CT60 - Atari 2600 - Atari 7800 - Gigafile - SD Floppy Emulator - PeST - HxC - CosmosEx - Ultrasatan - various clutter

Bonjour francouai :D
I meant that man who sells it may be who wrote parts of this cartridge SW. Indeed, there are no companies anymore, but it is usual to not pirate Atari SW what is currently under work, development.

On a related note, I have an original Supermon cartridge but the housing is looking a little worse for wear (the plastic has deteriorated to the point that it's crumbling).
Would you know if any PCB with capacity for ROMs on it be used for ANY cartridge ROMs?

I also see that they might be available here:

Hi vattari,

could it be possible for you to copy the contents of the eprom of Supermon?

I've looked at the bin file that's floating on the net, and it seems to me that it's not complete.
Perhaps I'm wrong, but if you examine the file SMON_13B.BIN
at the half of the file, aprox 65535bytes, it seems to end abruptly, and you can find the "magic" number for the carts.
And if you continue looking down, you can realize that it's the bin of the Ultimate Ripper!

So, you're the only one that I've heard that has the original cart, so...
Hope you can help me.

Thanks in advance.
