What sort of RAM are you using in your Storm? Does it have fast page mode enabled?
Intro retro computers since before they were retro...
ZX81->Spectrum->Memotech MTX->Sinclair QL->520STM->BBC Micro->TT030->PCs & Sun Workstations.
Added code to the MiNT kernel (still there the last time I checked) + put together MiNTOS.
Collection now with added Macs, Amigas, Suns and Acorns.

Ah yes sorry, forgot to say. I am using Kingston ram with FPM and EDO burst enabled.

Snap:
Same config but with 256MB Ram and FPU overclock
Question - does your TT have the VME patch?

I spoke to Atarian Computing (josh) and he thinks mine has the vme patch done on the pcb in the factory. I implemented a fix where the factory oscillator mod was incorrect, following Josh's instructions, everything seems to work well.

Atari Mega ST1 with 4MB ST Ram, 8Mhz Board Clock, PAK68/3 with 68030-50Mhz /68882-50Mhz -32kB L2 Cache, FRAK/2 with 64MB TT Fastram, Panther/2 with NE2000 ISA Ethernet card (MiNT Driver) and a ATI MACH32 2MB ISA Videocard.
To Speedup I looking for a MACH64 ISA Graphiccard and set up the Boardclock to 10,12 or 16Mhz ...

Would be great if we could compare two identical systems, one with VME patch and one without patch. I a sure that you can see the differences between the systems.

Great,
with the lightning you should play with the transferblock size using the setter, the value should be dividable by 8 -1

Tuxie, with the USB2LAN on Lighting I average around 50k/s FTP transfers inside Mint. Is this normal? I had a feeling that overhead from the graphics card on the VME bus could be saturating the bus, thus slowing the ethernet down. What do you think?
