Hi all
Anyone know what the advantages and disadvantages between these 2 devices are? The sdrive seems to be considerably cheaper (30ish quid versus 50 or more), but the sio2sd seems smaller which will be advantageous as I want to build it into my 1010 tape player whilst still having it work as a tape loader as well.
Any thoughts and ideas appreciated

Love my sdrive max. never had sio2sd since it is harder to navigate thru the menu's. Very easy to search of items with sdrive max.

Thanks - I've just ordered one in an XL style case (£31 plus £4 postage can't go wrong really)
Still need to decide whether to keep it in its own case or integrate it into the Atari 1010 tape player case. Will see once it arrives I think. Even though my 1010 tape drive is quite beaten up, I don't like cutting up old cases really - seems a shame when they've made it this far

There isn't the room in a 1010 recorder to fit the screen and guts of a Sdrive max into it.PeteW wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 10:33 pm Thanks - I've just ordered one in an XL style case (£31 plus £4 postage can't go wrong really)

Yeah I've just been looking and agree with you on that. I'll repair the tape drive if I can and just leave it standard. Might 3d print a bigger 1050 floppy replica case to put it in at some point, but will seeUmberto1st wrote: ↑Sun Aug 23, 2020 4:23 amThere isn't the room in a 1010 recorder to fit the screen and guts of a Sdrive max into it.PeteW wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2020 10:33 pm Thanks - I've just ordered one in an XL style case (£31 plus £4 postage can't go wrong really)
