Ahh, cool, thanks. I will try and order tomorrow, I'll let you know if I have any problems.
I did look on Mouser with a slightly different part number and came up emty handed.

Wow, Mouser wants a minimum of £12 shipment on 5 chips. That's mad! Thanks though, as now I have that part number, I'm getting more results

Might be a idea to mount the board on a connector on the TIA so PCB can be easily removed.. IIRC a couple resistors may need tweaking..

Yes, the thought had also crossed my mind that making it removable might be useful.
Are you talking about resistors on the PCB or the 2600 itself?

Ok, so the FMS6146-Ds have just arrived from UTSOURCE, worked out about 91p a chip, I have 10 now
Still waiting on the MAX7453s to arrive, they are due on Monday earliest unless the seller is telling porkies!

Ok, not much time tonight due to PSU rebuilds, but I made a start!

Given the chip is about 5mm square, I'm quite pleased with the soldering results, considering it was done by hand with an iron!
Looks like good connections under a magnifying glass so I'm hopeful it'll be good when I get it built.

Aaaand the MAX7453s have just arrived. I see more soldering in my future. Just need to work out what I'm missing from the BOM now.
