However, I did have a little play with the low/med res program out of curiosity (seeing as I had the right TOS version, if not language).
You can see, the desktop in ST LOW goes right to the bottom of my 1084:
As I cant adjust the V.Size, I have rolled the image to show the bottom border: (slight blur due to a slow roll, but that looks like ~5-10px!)
And here is ST MED:
Unfortunately, after the first run, the desktop reverted back to having a border (although the trash bin was still hidden in the bottom border?) so, I didn't snap any apps running. Perhaps some sort of internal configuration was written after the initial run which stopped the overscan?
Will have another look again if I can figure out the problem. Perhaps this brief boot message has something to do with it? Or maybe it needs the German 1.0/1.2 TOS to work reliably? (Although I believe that the German TOS requirement just affects the mouse positioning on the bottom of the screen being patched correctly AFAICT).
EDIT: I'm never 100% sure STFM tricks are going to work on the slightly different clock of a Mega. Seems to be fine so far though (initially anyhow).
