PSU 230V vs 110V
PSU 230V vs 110V
(Table values will be updated as they are worked out)
It looks like there are just some small resistor changes around the main drive transistor. Makes sense that higher voltages also tally with higher voltage resistors..

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
From what I can see, the caps are also a bit different (for less voltage, that is). If you want, I can write the values down for you.
Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
ahh, yeah, the main cap will be different voltage, but think others will be the same.

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
Actually the transformer may be different..
Mine (230V) has :
ATR-L043-1
AC INPUT 50/60Hz
230V / 0.45A

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
Yes, that note about the transformer is a good point (and a huge overlook on my side).
ATR-L043-2
AC INPUT: 50/60 Hz
117v / 0.9A
The big cap: 47uF / 200V
The three second-biggest caps: 1000uF / 16V
The slightly smaller cap near the big three: 330uF / 25V
The three small caps: 2x 47uF / 25V & 22uF / 25V (in the center of the PSU)
So I guess I have my answer? It would seem I can't simply change caps and resistors to get a 230V one.

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
Looks like you would need to change the transformer , plus cap & resistor changes.. getting on for a re-build really it seems.

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
... or put your PSU instead.

Chris, if you think you could use it for your experiments, I'll gladly donate it to you.
Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
If it unfixable then sure , can look a bit closer at parts I guess.

Re: PSU 230V vs 110V
Posted today. Surely it's fixable but I have realised that I'm too lazy to desolder the cap(s), investigate which (quality) ones I need to purchase, order it, wait, solder, obtain a 110V power source and then finally put on eBay. If it helps you to extend your knowledge or improve your products, that's a much better reward.
