Doesn't look too bad though, how does it compare to an original, and does it actually fit? More importantly, does the screw go through the middle!

Doesn't fit, but there is no "give" because of the "fused" slots most likely..

screw... means getting up and going looking...

Might be ok for a long button machine, I believe they are shorter.

I can easily make another model that's taller. As for the slots, I will print one out at home to see what's what, they were very narrow on the post I used to get the dimensions, so I'll need to have one in my hands to figure it out properly. Yours look about 1mm. I can probably add a chamfer to help it go into the hole.

Not bad for a first go though. Nothing too hard to fix.

Screws are 3mm I think, and hole is 3.8, so should be fine. When I have printed one I will check.

Try to print it slower, let's say 30mm/s

Tried screw, the whole is the right size, but because the smaller end of the thing is a little scrappy with the print, the screw will not go right the way through...

It is probably also a point that if the end is going to be squashed once inserted into the motherboard, the hole will actually be even smaller.. So it might be a idea to make the end hole where the cutout groove is, a fraction larger to give it a little bit more play room.

Settings I printed before was...

old.jpg
old.jpg (52.14 KiB) Viewed 3599 times
That is a little "fast" for delicate work I think...

So I halved it and trying again...

new.jpg
new.jpg (52.33 KiB) Viewed 3599 times

So print time before was 18mins, now its 28mins.

Be interested to see the results, Lee Ashmore on FB has suggested .2mm for the layer for strength.
