PSU Risers for STF Remake board

Post by rubber_jonnie »

Ok, first off, thanks to Icky for providing the dimensions for me to design these things.

Second, I haven't yet had time to print these out, so at present they are untested, so printing is at your own risk.

Thirdly, they go in specific positions, so reference this pic to get them in the right place: https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 660#p14864

The STL files are named as per the locations.

Good luck!

Thanks RJ,

I don't think Icky has a 3d printer but I'll try these myself later if I get time.

Thanks both - R_J for creating these and for Forgottenmyname for printing out previous parts for me for the remake.

I do have a 3D printer but its a shambles. Its been put away many many moons ago when the nozzles were playing up big time and firmware is all messed up.

So to all intents and purposes I don't really have a printer currently. May be I could get it out over Xmas and try and get it working and if succeed try out R_J parts.

Forgottenmyname - were you not mentioning about looking at more ST Remake 3D parts when you build your second board. What sort of items were you thinking of?

I can send you the parts Icky if you want. Got some new filament to try today, purple though.

The other bits I'm making will be to make a desktop type case for my STF.

Been working on a keyboard case last night but will have to print it in about 6 bits.

The risers fit pretty well to the STF and don't look too bad.

As for my new filament, looks like it needs some tweaking. I'm trying the risers again with my usual filament as a comparison but here's the photo Any way.

Printer with Ziro purple PLA.

They printed out better with my trusty old filament, Sunlu PLA+ which I highly recommend.

Managed to print some out, they seem fine, but only just got them done, as I ran out of filament! Bloody annoying, though to be fair it was just what came with the printer, and I've had a good run with it. Still, I have some filament coming for Xmas as well, so if I order some now as well, I'll have options 😁
