I've got a couple of Eiffel adaptors, will check it all out and see, thanks Paul.

Not sure.. wasn't the mega keyboard the ST keyboard design just with a different connector on it ?
The Mega keyboard feels better, but the signal and protocol is exactly the same as the internal ST one, the connector is just different. They use 4 pins, RX/TX, which is 5V TTL serial interface running at 7812.5 baud, 5V power and finally a ground pin. The ST one has an extra 5th pin for the disk activity LED IIRC.

Cool thanks :)

I'm not a fan of the external keyboards. I don't know if its just mine or they all like it, but they just seem very quirky and don't seem to ever work right to me. I normally use the keys to control the mouse and on the mega its like it doesn't respond to the keys being held down half the time  .

The Mega ST keyboard uses Cherry MX Black switches compared to the membrane on the STFM keyboard. AtariComputing did a post on the Mega ST switches https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=944

I think there should be a dedicated "thump pad" on top of the STF case, so when it doesn't work, there is a pre-calibrated thump pad to give the thing a whack when it doesn't boot.. That would be a really useful feature to have!

Again its hi-lighted a few areas for improvements in the files.

Good morning,

I'm in the midst of enhancing an Atari 130XE with an Ultimate 1MB expansion , 3.5" internal diskdrive on the righthand side and Midi ports on the lefthand side with an SIO2MIDI as shown here https://ataribits.weebly.com/midi.html

As such I was considering using the ST bottom case Midi ports standoff to insert into my 130XE case.
Since it's a bit of excessive and a shame to use an ST bottom case just for this part, would you mind sharing just this part's 3D model ?
3D printing it is a more cost-effective solution if I could use it. Both me and my 130XE would be eternally gratefull .

Hi. I am not quite sure what you are trying to do based on your description.

In any case (excuse the pun) we are still working on the 3D files as although the prints look good from a far there are still issues with every section. A lot of effort and investment for the initial scans and time on modifying the issues has been made with these files and currently we are just trying to get the ST case completed.
