@DoG , yes you have spotted that the walls in certain places are thicker as we are improving the case to solve weak points. As we have mentioned it's not going to be an exact replica there is no way an original case top will fit nicely on this bottom case and vice versa.

Well at least all the ports line up :)

Hmm - H4's and H5's don't need a modulator port :)

Hello Guys,

due my work I am in contact to one of my colleague, he is living in Romania. His wifes brother has an 3D creation company. Today we talked together about Case producing. He was asking if it is possible to get an 3D Model to calculate an price to produce this cases. In Romania the prices for production is very low and also high quality. So is it possible to get an maybe as demo tagged 3d model of the case? So maybe with this contact we are closer to have a remake case.

Regards Ingo

Hi @tuxie, thanks for the offer but we are already have been working with a few pro 3D print houses, as like you, a friend of mine works for one and has been helping with discussions on the case, including pricing, material and finishes.

The case still needs more design work on it as with anything this needs prototyping and many physical prints to make sure we get things right. This was the reason for building the Giant Panda printer that has definitely served its purpose. We are not far off on the bottom case being completed as a printable, strong design. Then we can move onto the top case which will not need much work to complete.

Got a reply over at A-F to an old thread of mine regarding ST case color. Turns out the filament maker is local to me.

I'm expecting it to be even closer to the Mega STE, but in any case I'd say this is indeed "good enough"

I think we know what Atari called it, but not the actual color code. This being a filament available to buy off the shelf that seems as close in hue as the color codes I managed to dig up :) Will print a Greaseweazle case with this tomorrow to see the end result.
