Re: Terriblefire Accelerators
Yeah. I strongly recommend multilayer caps ... especially for the SDRAM.
Its gonna be fun. Now we need someone to setup a wireless WHDLoad server

Re: Terriblefire Accelerators
TF53x with SDRAM will be a pain in the @ss,
unless You'll go beyond 100x100mm...
There isn't much free space for level shifters..
Maybe it is possible to use one big cpld instead of two smaller?

Re: Terriblefire Accelerators
But the chipcount will go from 4 to 2 so that will help. it will need more than 10x10cm.. but thats the long term plan.8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 6:59 pm TF53x with SDRAM will be a pain in the @ss,

Using a single CPLD wont help because the bus cpld doesnt take up any space that could be reused.

Re: Terriblefire Accelerators
Right, there will be only 2 chips instread of 4,
maybe You can relocate IDE to the right side instread of front this time, this will make it more A2000 friendly (TF530 and TF534 has IDE port in front now), also A500 will profit if ide will be on the right side (maybe we can use TF53X without relocator then)..
As about A1200:
Edu got connectors already, i am pretty sure he will be very interested!

WHOA! This was so unexpected. All secretly routed already. Crazy!
Expect 68030 prices to skyrocket now. Thank you for getting rid of the FPU btw, that’ll save us some trouble!

Yeah...FPU is pretty useless
Haven't turned on my A1200 for a year
It screams for more memory, lol

Edu will likely add it back in on the A1200 version of the TF330.8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Sun Nov 11, 2018 7:41 pm Yeah...FPU is pretty useless

Ok. General temperature taking here.
Do i release the TF534 to the general public or hold off until we see what happens with the SDRAM experiment?
I'm torn.

Sure Stephen!
Let it go! TF534 deserves a chance to live!
