CDTV Projects

Post by terriblefire »

Does anyone have info on the CDTV IR chip pinout?

I’m thinking about a solution to my mouse and keyboard issues and replace this chip at the same time

No need to reinvent the wheel, i'll send You Joystick/Mouse switcher. The one i have can switch on the fly, so both - IR and standard mouse / Joystick may be used

Are they wireless? My plan was wireless for joystick, mouse and keyboard.

I should be clear. I have exploded my U75 chip so i need to replace it. And i figured I may as well try and look at long term replacement options for it since those chips are hard to get.

So i figured a USB microcontroller would be perfect... i could do the IR functions and keyboard and mouse and could work with any HID device. Plus wireless. and then it could maybe go in a the next line of CD32 boards too.

If it has any matter, it is still possible to buy new CDTV remotecontrollers for very reasonable price for several places.

Hmmm.. I think everyone is missing the point of what I am trying to do.

U75 is not a common part. I blew it up. I need to replace it. New controllers are not going to help.

So i need to put a microcontroller in there that does the same job.. and while i'm at it why not put USB HID on there..

Basically this guy is perfect..

Just needs pin mapped.
