Note: I was successful in using a Samsung EVO+ 64Gb microsd card using a micro SD to SD adapter.

But as I mentioned, I did have to wait a while for system to boot up.

Well, I have not tried it in the 68K cpu socket yet. I will try that tonight.

I have a CF2IDE coming.. today or tomorrow and I have an 8gb CF Sandisk card. So .. that will also be tried.

Ok, tried TF534 in 68K socket.. needed 2 rows to get above the CAP.. but works ok (CARD) but no change in IDE

Tried my CF card reader I picked up.. 44pin IDE to CF.. works on PC no issues.. not even seen by the TF card.

So out of the original suggestions only the INIT 2 wire left to do.

So I am going to jump from Init2 to the internal serial pin10. That is what I got from the appendix link that TerribleFire post near the start of this thread.

OK.. so got init2 working I think..

::::::::::::: Pin 1 top RH - Pin 2 bottom RH then 3 is next to the left on the top - So pin 10 is the 5th from the RH bottom row??

Anyway.. I know have boot times in the seconds .. 15 to 20 sec or so..

Speed from SYSinfo on the SD2IDE is still pretty slow 700K at best. maybe thats my card?

Anyway.. now to get a good 3.1.4 setup.. Still dont understand why formating makes the 2nd partition a floppy icon.

Progress!! :)

This in here is closed. It was not a hardware issue at all, it was how the SD card was setup.

I went into HDtoolbox and created 2 partitions.. I have not found instructions anywhere that give a specific setup for the TF cards.. so IT would seem I did it wrong.

Now to figure out how to get it right. I used a .vhd from a CD and it booted right away and pretty good speed 6mb/sec.

Thanks for those that contributed.
