I am the proud owner of a TF330 and looking through the loft yesterday I came across my old SX-1. After removing the TF330 from my CD32, inserting and removing the SX-1 several times it booted the 90’s hard drive into Amiga OS.
So I was wondering if the two were plugged into the CD32 would they play nice together? The one thing I guess I would be worried about is the power draw. But I would replace the Harddisk with a CF card or remove it completely and rely on the TF330 IDE connector instead. I guess it would be quicker than the SX-1.
The other benefit would be the extra ports it provides such as floppy, parallel RGB ports. Also it has a battery backed clock. And lastly the mighty 8mb of Ram (which I know is completely pointless when the TF330 comes with 64mb).
Will it work? Will it blow the system to kingdom come? Or will it work in perfect harmony (subject to a few tweaks)?
TF330 and SX-1 a match made in heaven?

No reason why it wont work. The IDE on the TF330 will override any other IDE devices in the machine. The ZII ram should also work fine.

I have both, and it looks like the riser that comes with SX-1 is not working with TF-330 in any of the two positions.

Maybe same reason analogic doesnt work. PUNT does not float when unasserted.apolkosnik wrote: ↑Fri Sep 20, 2019 11:30 pm I have both, and it looks like the riser that comes with SX-1 is not working with TF-330 in any of the two positions.

Same here with an SX-32 backplane, SX-32 Mk2 wont work with a TF330 compliant backplane either.

The SX32 riser isn’t a pure riser. The riser is smart. This will never work
