This CPU is a bit sulky. But I think it’s a fake/rebranded from China.

No, it craps out on the old one as well. It's a set of 3 I got on ebay, but each one has different issues. They are probably rebranded 16mhz parts.

Good known 33/50 mhz rev C gold parts from Mr Russia work perfectly.

The rev1 is also rocking the v2 firmware without issues, I just need to figure out how to patch the reset wire on it.

Ok. Just waiting to hear back from 8 Bit Dreams. But it looks like we got somewhere between 33% and 50% performance increase with that firmware update.

For anyone interested here is the CPLD usage stats.

Just to add that all 030 CPU`s are not equal, I use the 40mhz and have a variation on the the Dhrystones from 8700 9200 even the genuine `Gold ` 030/50 scores 8700 Dhrystones :), like everything in life yer pays yer money and takes yer choice :)

And my Laptop crashed last night with all recent changes we did...thank god for the cloud and being vigilant with my backing up so nothing lost !
