running it now on a gold 68030RC33, surprisingly no crashes yet.
Re: TF330 Performance Improvements
This CPU is a bit sulky. But I think it’s a fake/rebranded from China.

No, it craps out on the old one as well. It's a set of 3 I got on ebay, but each one has different issues. They are probably rebranded 16mhz parts.terriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:42 pm Curious... Did it work with the older firmwre?

Good known 33/50 mhz rev C gold parts from Mr Russia work perfectly.
Re: TF330 Performance Improvements
Hope your feeling better Steve
I am sure I have a gold genuine 030/50, will look tomorrow

Re: TF330 Performance Improvements
The rev1 is also rocking the v2 firmware without issues, I just need to figure out how to patch the reset wire on it.
Re: TF330 Performance Improvements
`Burst` firmware confirmed working on a Genuine `Gold` 030/50 mhz

Re: TF330 Performance Improvements
Ok. Just waiting to hear back from 8 Bit Dreams. But it looks like we got somewhere between 33% and 50% performance increase with that firmware update.
For anyone interested here is the CPLD usage stats.

Re: TF330 Performance Improvements
Just to add that all 030 CPU`s are not equal, I use the 40mhz and have a variation on the the Dhrystones from 8700 9200 even the genuine `Gold ` 030/50 scores 8700 Dhrystones , like everything in life yer pays yer money and takes yer choice
And my Laptop crashed last night with all recent changes we did...thank god for the cloud and being vigilant with my backing up so nothing lost !

Fake Freescale 68EC030RP40 CPU works great: Have same fake ceramic CPU like Alen has - will test it shortly, also have an original ceramic CPU from Blizzard IV 1230 - this also need to be tested.
Beside of that wanna report: SAMSUNG RAM K4S561632J-UC75 is working absolutely stable!
