Good to hear you have it up and running :)

Just put together a custom 31 ROM with the eide.device included. Now the IDEs on the TF1230 & 1260 work straight-up no other boot device required. Not a difficult process, and there are number of tutorials available.

I did notice the 1260 boots quite a bit faster than the 1230 using the latest eide.device.
I Don’t suppose you could do a custom 3.2 Rom?

Should not be a problem, I do not have 3.2, but if you just search for a tutorial on creating a custom Amiga ROM, it is a fairly easy task.
You just need a eeprom programmer (something like a minipro with a 27C400 adapter) and a couple of blank 27C400 eeproms.
I used 'mfilos' 3.9 ROM tutorial, and simply changed a few things to suit 3.1.

Just a little update. So far as I can tell this is only not working on the Rev 1D1 now. Can other report their experiences good and bad.

I do have a 1D1 buried in a box somewhere, will try to find it and see how it goes.

Found the 1D1, did a quick test with mask, eeprom and custom ROM sets. Booted and worked with both A1200 and TF1230 IDE's.
Was only a short test with each set of ROMS (31), as time was limited today.

Do you require any specific tests on the 1D1 motherboard were others have had issues :?:

Thanks. I think there may be specific machines that are sulky. I can make a hardware fix to solve this but i'd rather not if i can help it.

Detected, boots and runs without issue here on a Rev 1D.1 with 3.2 ROM (47.96)

CPLD : XC95144XL 10C
Memory : IS42S16320B - 6TLI

Will test other ROM versions this evening if time permits.

OK OK, so the things I send are boring by comparison,... no need to shame me! :)

& If you combine the two received items then the resulting firmware mod is bound to be a winner!

Technically it is not whiskey, but oak matured rye vodka. :D
