Is there a difference between 144 and 288 version except cell size?terriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 11:39 am Alpha for the 288 CPLDs....

EDIT: Since i dont actually have a 1230 with a 288 CPLD its untested.

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
I changed the CPLD to another 288 chip and it works with the diag-rom!markus0321 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 1:58 pmNot working...markus0321 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 1:10 pm
Wow! I already have the entire TF1230 soldered, I'm programming the CPLD right away and I'm starting to run it and test it.
Thanks a lot for the quick help. You are great
There is only a black screen on the diag-rom. I checked the soldering under a microscope and it looks good. My A1200 is rev 2b will try to do timingfix, if it doesn't help, I will check it on version 1.d4 1.d1 .....
but does not detect FAST 0kB memory

you've done complete memory detection? Menu 2 option 6 i think?

In Workbench it shows 64MB Fast nicely.terriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:37 pm you've done complete memory detection? Menu 2 option 6 i think?
I suspected the xilinx chip because it was damaged more than once when I bought it on aliexpress. Just unnecessary stress. But in the end it is great because if it were not for this chip, the card would start immediately.
BusSpeed CHIP 6.2 / 7.0 MB / s R / W Wow! FAST 25.7 / 35.5 super
SysInfo Mips 9.63 HDD: 2 058 722 on the internal controller (I do not have goldpins to check the one on the card)
Workbench 3.2 with kickstart 3.1
Thank you again and I'm going to do further tests
Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
I just soldered in a 288 and flashed it.
Revision 2B working so far
128MB RAM installed and seemingly fine too.
More testing now.

Complete memorydetection detects 4 areas of 64MB together shows 256MB laterterriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:37 pm you've done complete memory detection? Menu 2 option 6 i think?
In fact, I have soldered the same memories as in TF536, i.e. 64MB
This is correct behavior?

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
So 288 also works ok but it's a nice option for someone who already has it or can't find 144. I will check if it works with my second Amiga version 1D.1terriblefire wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:55 pmYes thats correct.markus0321 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 3:53 pm

Re: TF1230 Beta Interest (Open Source)
If goose can send me a 288 version (or even a blank) the faster ata from the TF1260 will fit in the 288. The 144 is utterly full.
