thats still good news.. the fact that you said you have not abondoned it because other factors have taken over :)

Anywho.. winter is coming and usually for a lot of us that means a little more time.. so maybe you will get back to it then.

It's not abandoned :)
I'm actually working on manually routing most of the new PCB, which takes time. And will try to get them partially assembled so that I don't lose time on this (for the SMD, I'll do the through hole myself as there are not a lot of them) even though I have a reflow oven.. to time consuming.

rpineau, if you are confident it is at a usable stage of the development. I would be willing to buy in for one or two boards if that would help reduce your cost to get pre-assembly done. Through hole stuff I can also do myself no issues. This is assuming the plan is still to get TT ram add-on this .. as first for me is the Ram to allow me to run Multi tasking with desktop etc.. or Mint. then of course faster is better. Let me know.

The board is still not done routing and then the CPLD code to manage interrupt need to be added. So nothing is in a shape that can be build right now, at least with the current version.
Atl-Ram is in the plan and I have already routed the board(s) for this.. but we need the main board before anything else can be tested.

Cool to hear you're still hard at it on this one, as a Mega fan I would possibly be interested in a couple.
Collector of many retro things!
800XL and 65XE both with Ultimate1MB,VBXL/XE & PokeyMax, SIDE3, SDrive Max, 2x 1010 cassette, 2x 1050 one with Happy mod, 3x 2600 Jr, 7800 and Lynx II
Approx 20 STs, including a 520 STM, 520 STFMs, 3x Mega ST, MSTE & 2x 32 Mhz boosted STEs
Plus the rest, totalling around 50 machines including a QL, 3x BBC Model B, Electron, Spectrums, ZX81 etc...
