First board runs a treat (I'm using HDDRIVER), just need to get the parts I don't have ordered for this one. It's worked with full sized HDs, Laptop HDs, CF cards, IDE ZIP drive (Incl ejecting and reinserting) and it does recognise my full sized DVD drive, but doesn't read the contents.

My REV drive and SD to IDE are the only things it didn't play nicely with.

The problem I seem to have is that it doesn't get any power, even when using an external PSU. Even when the device is only connected to power.

Works fine on my USB IDE adaptor though.

I have joined the club too, I saw one IDE board listed in the store and decided to buy it. So, now have to wait for stuff to arrive, then solder it up and start cracking.

I have also joined but I have actually built mine already. I thought I had my 27C4096 adapter for my programmera with me but I can't find it. So I have it in my flat somewhare. Going to program TOS 1.04/2.06 tomorrow probably and have a go. Here is the photos of it with the mods done. I have ordered some diods to make the "crappy-chinese-3V3-IDE-mod" later.

Hi DoG, you should be fine using it without the Chinese mod it was only 1 Toshiba and 3 crappy Chinese CF cards that didnt work.
If it ain't broke, test it to Destruction.

:bravo: Fresh blood

Icky and I have started on its successor. Though with so many projects ongoing, it likely be some time before we get to test it out properly. We are looking into windows compatible partitions "on the fly". Meaning the byte swapping is done automatically in hardware. This way, HD10 doesn't do it and its much faster. Being able to swap between ST and PC automatically will make life a whole lot easier I think.

Well, I got mine working. sort of...

Had to wipe of the ATF1508 and the socket with IPA. Wiped the 27C4096 also. So both the TOS works. Tested one SD card/reader. Didn't work. I think that one worked on another IDE interface I got, but I'm unsure at the moment if that is the case. But it works with a CF card/reader. Under TOS 2.06. It recognize the stuff under TOS 1.04 but I can't open the icon for C for some reason. Later it bombed out and rebooted.

Recapped PSU. Maybe change the resistor arrays on the databus/adressbus to get it be more stable on the first testbench (C070789 revD). It says in the BOM that the resistor array on the IDE card is 10k but in the goddie bag from exxos I got a 2.2k. Later I will try the IDE card on other motherboards.

Oh, I fitted a MC68HC000P16 on the card if that have something to do with it. The only one I have at the moment where I am right now. I got a bunch more somewhere I could swap and test.

Hmmm yeah HC CPUs are more problematic , so its likely you will need to change the bus resistors.
