Looks good. Do you anticipate any stacking to he involved?

Exxos and I have been playing around with a few ideas in regards to Flashy Clock board, the H2 and the ALT-RAM board Exxos is designing.

We have realised that to use Flashy Clock in the H2 we would need to extend the header so that we can split the CPU AS and RESET lines between the CPU on the H2 board instead of a CPU on the Flashy Clock board. Exxos has mentioned the changes he has made on the H2 board here https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 350#p24112

Exxos has been designing an ALT-RAM expansion board as well https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... 340#p24030 and this requires a PLD to help with the board so we have add some headers on the Flashy Clock board so it can help out and provide the required lines from the PLD on its board so its an expansion board stack. Also in that thread you will see Exxos has been looking for very low profile pin / socket combinations so that we can get this as low profile as possible.

In looking at the low profile pins Exxos has been looking to employ these on the RTC modules to make them lower profile. With this in mind we are looking to use this lower profile in the Flash Clock board and seat the RTC chip that is on the underside of the RTC module into a hole in the Flashy Clock board so its very low profile. This way the whole Flashy Clock and even with the ALT-RAM board stacked will be slim.

Here is the layout I am currently routing:

Print out hole where chip from RTC module will drop through when using low profile pins:

Nice video Icky, looks very good for the future. Couple of questions, was the host machine for the video a remake? Also Is only a quarter of the flash in the memory map at one time? Congrats on a nice effort guys.. :bravo: :coolpics: :goodpost:

Host machine for the video was my DEV STFM which I use for most of these board tests initially but I then do test them out on the remake to see if they behave as expected.

I have yet to try Flashy Clock on the remake with the CPU expansion board https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/forum/viewt ... =73&t=1849. Will be interesting to see how it behaves as my Remake is set as the True 16MHz mod currently.

Yes the bank jumpers are basically just selecting the address lines on the Flash so by changing these you are just pointing to a different space in the Flash each time.

We have released two of the Flashy Clock Dev boards into the wild, well PaulJ and PhilC to be exact :)

We are hoping that PhilC as head of the Destruction Testing Department can test this thing and break it :P and PaulJ can look at the software side of the board we can make some more progress.

We do have one more spare Dev board but its not in a functioning state. If I can get it up and running I will offer it out to on this thread if there are any takers.

Attached is Exxos' program to work with the board.
