Yeah, that sounds promising!
A kludge is a workaround or quick-and-dirty solution that is clumsy, inelegant, inefficient, difficult to extend and hard to maintain.

78Mhz - you can't complain at that!
What is left to look at, Burst mode on RAM and the 3.3v supply? You mentioned previously about the CD Rom not working? Or did I get that wrong.

Out of interest here are some Sysinfo numbers I just found on a scrap of paper from previous internet searches:

Blizzard 1260 @ 66 Mhz - 50,560 Mips 53
Apollo. 1260 @ 80 Mhz - 58,284 Mips 62

Superduper - assuming you have a full CD32 with Reset switch it would be good to test PSU's, as my earlier issue with the TF330 not resetting was due to the PSU not being man enough. It seemed ok but resetting with the push button on top of the console resulted in a non-boot.
The lower current PSU also gave a lower intensity on the Power LED.

I have almost every 060 revision, hopefully we can settle on something that will work on most so that people don’t have to hunt down a specific chip.

Rev 6 CPUs are (I think) a different manufacturing process and can clock to much higher speeds.

There may be other bug fixes. I’d need to look at the release notes

exxos dumped a load of 060 info: https://www.exxosforum.co.uk/atari/last/ ... /index.htm

Main summary of changes (apart from some bug fixes):

rev1: maskset 01F43G (1994, engraved 0.60µm)
rev2: maskset 01G65V (1996, engraved 0.60µm)
rev5: maskset 74E41J (1998, engraved 0.42µm) - note that max 80Mhz was achieved according to weblink.
rev6: maskset 71E41J (1999, engraved 0.32µm)

I guess 'WhichAMIGA' prog is key here as it can read the Rev number. I am sure we have all heard about the effort gone to by people removing original markings and re-printing with Rev 6 maskset numbers!!!
