TF IDE Speed. Onboard IDE timing is pretty much dictated by gayle.

With the latest firmware, IDE is showing 5.3MB/s (up from 1.9MB), and bus test is showing at least 100% improvement I think too!!! Runs way way better =O

I would be interested to know (once people get onto a later firmware) what speed you get on IDE, and what card / adapter / drive you use! I suspect the CF card I am using could be better.

Very good results , escpecialy ide speed is. I got 1.9 mb with Kingston CF 4GB. Standart old firmware . Will get Sandisk Ultra and Exterme 8-16 gb ones to test.
Alson can i ask how many mips on sysinfo you get with new firmware @ 62.5mhz . With standart old one i get 48.75 mips. Just a refernace test.

Sysinfo report is exactly the same. Which shows how useless sysinfo is as a metric. Sysinfo tests all run out of cache.

Out of interest, can you think of a scenario where the lack of timing fixes could stop a CPU running beyond 62.5Mhz? I've just ordered ANOTHER 75Mhz chip - this time from Russia. The RC75 I got today again wont go past 62.5Mhz =/ It's a super lottery trying to find an LC or EC chip that will go beyond 62.5Mhz. That will be chip number 4... I will sell a couple of them and keep one for the TF360 if that has a run at some point.

In your case, this is probably a CPLD issue. I've seen a few 10ns cplds that won't go past 62mhz. Replacing the RAM cpld would normally fix this.

Do you have no chance on 75 mhz or work a bit then crash when load or etc. I tried with different motherboards and timing fixes , results were same. My card work a bit stable at 75 mhz with rev5 then crashes. Maybe with new firmware can be stable @ 75 mhz.
My CPLD's are 10ns. And have heatsinks on both CPLS and 060. Fan cooling from right side.

I think i've said this 100 times now..

The firmware needs an update to get more speed. I need to make wholesale changes and i've not had time.

Dont waste your time and money on this until i've got this sorted. I just need to sort my basement damp out first.

Sorry, I didn't see that previously! I assumed it was just the CPUs I am trying (and I suspect it is tbh - they are all rev 4's). Also, others are running much faster already so this led me to think it was either the CPUs or my 1200 (regards timing fixes).

Thanks! I wasn't aware that different speed CPLDs might be needed - I will hang fire until Stephen has time to work through tweaks etc. Not in a rush - can see if that other 75Mhz (looks like R5) makes a difference when that arrives.

Nah, all three just freeze the system straight after selecting 75Mhz - pretty sure its due to them all being rev 4 CPUs though tbh!
