Board went together without a hitch. Works perfectly fine on an A1000 with last posted firmware, tested Frontier on loop and various WHDLoad games with no issue.

Thanks!

I have tried different CF adapters, from cheap Chinese ones to expensive ones.
That's not the problem.

This is the adapter I built into my Amy case:

The CPLD gets 55 degrees C, which can be felt very well with the finger.
But it seems to be no problem, the card runs very stable. The maximum I
can get out is 2.4MB IDE speed.

Recovering from my Peat n Diesel hangover....

I'd say between 2mb/s and 3mb/s is probably what ive got out of these devices.

I've never fully understood why some builds are better than others. Probably some marginal setup time somewhere.

That’s very strange. Mine doesn’t really get any warmer than body temp, you can’t really feel anything with your finger...

My CPLD doesn't get at all warm and I get 2.5Mb/Sec disk speed on both SD and CF adapters.

Today I have been running Whdload FA/18 interceptor on demo loop for 4 hours and not a single problem. CPU is nice and cool too.

Usually this game gives me crap on my TF534 and UAE so it's nice to see it being stable for once.

Perhaps I got a fake CPLD... Who cares... If it breaks, I just solder another CPLD on the board :-)

I've already said.. its because there are floating pins.

My TF536 is stable under Diagrom.
I am still troubleshooting build.

Forgot that 4 layer board are pain to solder correctly. I really need to invest in better soldering station.

Yeah you really need a basic temperature controlled iron and always use the "proper" amount of flux
