I can even run hot air over it and no crashing.
Well played Sir, impressive fault finding with such limited feedback.

Yup, looks like that fixed it. Running fine for the moment without crashes without cooling. Impressive.
I haven't tested anything very extensively yet though. Just did a memtest and running frontier now.

Excellent.
OK we have a solid lead on what to do. It may also have solved the TF330 disable bug issue. Will post a firmware over there to test.
I'm not impressed with the IDE speed but we can deal with that once we're happy its stable.

What was the mystery reason for this? I was ready to give up on this card which had just increased my hate of the A500 as a platform.terriblefire wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2020 12:10 am Excellent.

The only issue I am having right now is that I can't run games from floppy, including frontier, but no issues at all running from the CF card.

FDD loading is fine here, loaded up Frontier multiple times with no issues.
Re: Limited TF536 Run - Sort of Sales (All gone)
Ok I will try on the other a500 tomorrow. Maybe my floppy drive is busted.
Re: Limited TF536 Run - Sort of Sales (All gone)
Updated to tf536r1_main_top_FULL_PHASE_7 on the card that was working without issue on the original tf536r1_main_top.
Still boots and runs but on initial power on I get a guru which then boots normally following a reset / left mouse exit. Some consistent graphic artifacts that weren't present on the previous version when running games. Also intermittent exits back to Workbench with error code when running WHDLoad games.
Seems more stable under WB2.1 with 37.350 ROM than WB3.9 with 3.1 ROM.
Will perform some back to back tests on different Amigas and update with results.

Re: Limited TF536 Run - Sort of Sales (All gone)
The latest "patched" firmware (tf536r1_main_top_FULL_PHASE_7.zip) is working flawlessly on the A500. Everything works great.
EDIT: there are issues on my 500+ but it looks like an issue with the machine after all.
EDIT2: ok, I sorted the A500+. It looks like it needs a recap. As far as I am concerned it looks like we have a winner.
