TF536 Bulk Order (Batch 1 Shipped)

Post by terriblefire »

I am waiting for a little bit more feedback on the TF536 runs but I am now looking at doing either a 100+ board run with partial assembly of the TF536 rev2 (with a very minor fix for the optional bus buffer and some typo's fixed on Silkscreen).

NOTE THE RUN IS LIMITED TO 150 Boards Now. There will be subsequent runs if there is interest.

New requests for boards will be deleted from the thread

Basic price for the board with the bird seed on is going to be around £15. The order will be open to anyone who wants one but I'm not going to let people I have't supplied bulk before take more than 20. This is to stop one person buying up all the stock and then price gouging.

If you ask for 10 I'll need to take a £50 deposit from you before the order is placed. If you ask for 20 its a £75 deposit (then £25 for every 10 past that). There will be a bit of a discount for multiples but i cant work out what that will be until i do the order. I will also be getting this delivered fast by DHL so i'll have to take a customs hit.

The Firmware

https://github.com/terriblefire/terribl ... HASE_7.zip

The BOM

To complete the build you'll need..

1. 1 x LM1117-3.3 (SOT223) Regulator
2. 2 x 10uF 1206 Caps.
3. 1 XC95288XL-10TQG144I
4. A 68030 socket (or female pinstrip),
5. 4 x SN74CB3T3245PW bus buffers
6. 2 x 54 Pin TSSOP SDRAM (I use MT48LC16M16A2P-6A:G)
7. 1 x 100Mhz Crystal Osc 4 pin. (7mm x 5mm)
8. 64 turnned pin strip for the amiga socket.
9. 2.0mm Pinstrip for the IDE interface

Digikey BOM is here without the pin headers or sockets. I buy my pin headers in bulk so i dont know where to get them in small quantities.

All other components are supplied on the board.

Note that 3 chips are not supposed to be populated unless upgrading to buffered IDE. I recommend getting unbuffered working before upgrading.

Here is the Digikey BOM if you want buffered... Includes everything in the previous BOM

To buffer the IDE interface you need three 74VHC245PW 20-Pin TSSOP and remove 6 RNs underneath the chips (2 per chip. These are 0 Ohm RNs)

The PGA socket

Sockets i use i get from ebay user ic-china..

https://www.ebay.com/itm/233521674187?V ... 3521674187

Dont moan about the price. I cant find a better source and for me its worth the few extra $$s not to worry about issues.

The 68000 socket

The 68000 socket strip stuff i use is this

https://www.ebay.com/itm/HOBBY-COMPONEN ... SwRLZUBsON

Its possible you can find it cheaper but I buy that stuff by the kilogram so i get a much better deal. DO NOT BUY or try to use square pins. It wont work and it will mash up your Amiga CPU socket.

IDE Interface

The IDE interface is a 44pin 2.0mm pitch job. Just like an A1200/A600. This is overwhelmingly what Amiga people wanted and harassed me to do because it doesn't need separate power. Dont ask for a 40 pin version.. it was done and people moaned about it.

This is the stuff i use..

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/40-Pin-2-0mm ... K5l3Lvmb2w

You need 2 strips per board.

The Warning!

Dont message me directly asking for help. 99% of issues have been seen before and the forum guys will be able to help and your experience will help others. Check the forum to see if your issue has been seen before then post a new thread if you cant find anything.

I never thought anyone would want this board so i'm maddly surprised its so popular.

If you are crazy enough to have wanted a bare board...

I think there's a max 50pcs restriction on JLCPCB orders with SMT assembly. You might need to do multiple individual orders and consolidate the shipping at the end.

SMT Assembly Capabilities:

Only accept single sided placement.
Layer: 2&4 Layer.
Qty: ≤50pcs.
Thickness: 1.0mm/1.2mm/1.6mm.
Color: Green.
Copper weight: 1oz.

I'm not sure how this works in practice but something to be aware of.

Thanks for that. I"ll ping them an email and ask what the deal on a 100pc run would be.

You can design the panel board (2*1),then we can make it as 100pcs pcbs,or you can place 2 orders, each of 50 pcs.
Seems fair
