Source of 68030 with MMU?

Post by GadgetUK164 »

Can anyone recommend where to buy an 030 with MMU? There are a few sellers on eBay (one which I got my 060 from - seems to be selling lots of them), I just wondered if anyone had any suggestions of a reliable source of genuine parts? Preferably one that runs at 50Mhz.

All are fake, but touch wood all marked as 50mhz did run (some very very hot).

I'm planning on selling tested ones in the future. Though duds and failures have to be actored into the price, so they likely won't be cheap. I can get brand new EC types only.

Hi Gadget love your vids,

I have purchased 3 x MC68030RC50C (goldtops) over the last 6 months from funkward-tech all have been good at 50MHz with cpu loaded.
Also managed to pickup a genuine 060 rev 6 from this supplier about 4 weeks ago

I have also purchased another 2 MC68030RC50C from ericwoosrarechips and they were also fine.

I look for used items, if it states brand new I avoid them.

Maybe I have been lucky as others have posted neg feedback against funkward for fakes, I can only state my own experience with these 2 sellers and it has been positive.

They are priced around $65-75 aud mark delivered.

Probably always a gamble, but had a good run so far :)

Hope that helps

I guess I was lucky with these:

Have an MMU and work @50Mhz in TF530/536. They all look brand new and carry identical text on them... so they might be rebranded.
I am in no way affiliated with the seller.

thanks @pipper for that info,
For that price will buy 1 and see how it goes :)
Enough 030 hopefully now to cover all my accelerator projects for the next year.
Just need to find some time to build them ;)

They might have had good 060s (and 030s at one time), but unfortunately received freshly remarked "RC50C"s from them..
