Retro computer hardware & repair in Germany
Re: PLCC to DIP adaptor - TF536 on A600
No problem, would be interested to see what success you have. I may have to try it on my other A600's but don't really like to remove the Vampire more than I have to, and the other didn't ever work with a Furia or Apollo A630 so probably not the best one to test with.8 Bit Dreams wrote: ↑Sat Aug 29, 2020 10:12 pm Im very interested to give it a try, have a300/a600 here

I also wouldn’t mind trying this. I have 3 A600s.

Happy to post you one, can do a blank board, or with a decent PLCC that I modify a bit fitted. I don't think I have much female socket strip left though, so if you have some of that to hand then all good. Ping me a message and can sort it out.

Happy to fire one over to you.
I will release the files on GitHub once it's proven what works and what doesn't too

Have reached the the point where if any more retro related items come to the house I will be getting divorced. The backlog i have to get through is overwhelming nowLemaru wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 1:11 pm One shortly on its way to 8 Bot Dreams.

No worries, I will have a spare anyways if ever needed.terriblefire wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 1:21 pm Have reached the the point where if any more retro related items come to the house I will be getting divorced. The backlog i have to get through is overwhelming now
Would be good to get to the bottom of the ChipRAM and Kick3.1 issue so would be good to see what others find with their setups. Might try softkicking it when I get time for more of a play with it.

I`d love to try one...
On my A600 with Furia 020 and 3.1 Rom...the expansion library choked the furia at start up....would not boot unless you enter the early startup menu and disable CPU cashe.....even after that it was unstable...I made a 3.1 rom with 3.1.4 rom expansion library...it booted ok....
