Tested today on the rev 4 board (had all fixes to bring it up to rev 6 - as recommended by Commodore). So has resistor packs on the databus for Zorro etc, some resistor packs removed, resistors changed etc on it. Works fine with the 536 and A2091 together. This board however does NOT seem to need ALS chips in the Zorro databus area. The ones on the A2091 seem sufficient on that board.

I am guessing it could be related to the manufacturer of the 245's used. I read that Sygnetics 245s MUST be swapped for other brand, or pref ALS 245's. I can say with 100% certainty that I had wierd issues with Sygnetics 68K and some A2000 expansions, including the Kipper2K board and the new GottaGoFasterRAM board from LIV2. If you have Sygnetics buffers - swap them. If you can swap LS to ALS on those 2 databus buffers.

I've just had a look at mine and assuming I am looking in the right places my A2000 has TI ALS245AN on the board, the A2091 has TI LS245Ns. If I disable the onboard RAM and Autoboot on the 2091 the machine will boot and Showconfig will see it, but no SCSI devices are detected.

Do you have the pull down resistors on those 245's? The ones in question are U603 and U604.

I do, and actually the chips next to them are TI LS245Ns (see pic).

Those are LS, not ALS!

Yes, I was looking at the ones on the row above in error (oops).

If I read your posts correctly: I might be OK with the A2000 board as I don't have Sygnetics branded chips, but I will need to change the ones on the A2091 to ALS types?

Just adding the info here from the other thread I posted in but the A2091 will work with the TF536 as confirmed by myself and GadgetUK164 provided the following:
  • A2091 ROM version must be V7 - even in Winuae the A2091/590 will not work with a 68030 with v4/6 roms
  • For me the RAM on the A2091 needs to be disabled
  • If using a coprocessor slot adapter you must jumper /BOSS to GND or the machine will halt at a black screen at boot time
  • Rev 6 A2000 fixes most likely need to be applied if you're running a rev 4 board
  • Might need to replace A2091's LS buffers with ALS buffers as described by GadgetUK164

What's strange there is your RAM needing to be disabled? Maybe because I have ALS245's on the A2091 and the A2000 that solves that issue? The other thing I've not seen in testing is this /BOSS thing. I will take a look at that tomorrow and re-test, but pretty sure the last time I tested I didn't do anything with that pin - maybe my adapter is already handling that signal.

Not 100% sure why but for me when I turn on the A2091 RAM, use my SupraRAM or my memory board I get gurus as soon as my wbpattern loads. Same in the 500+ with my A590/GottaGoFast. Perhaps the ALS will help on the 2091 & 590 or maybe I need to try a fresh install

D'oh sorry for some reason I thought you had the same findings as me but looking back I read the convo completely wrong.
