Love this, I have win 8 daily driver and I can`t let the fecker go as it has all my software like Xilinx Impact, and a programming tools for my FTDI and other hardware interfaces that sometimes took an age to get to work and that`s why I can`t let it go lol, and am paranoid about it crashing and all being lost, that`s why it is backed up three times ! ( and that has saved me a few times)
but I do use a Vanilla W10 also but never touched an Apple in my life

That is unusual choice.
I used it for few good years, but switched to Win10 simultaneously with moving to SSD drive.

Re: TF536 Firmare Update RC3
I've tried it the raspberry pi way and the instructions on linuxjedi, but upon "xc3sprog -c matrix_creator -j" the jtag chain is empty, or there's simply no response. The first time I tried this, the pi completely locked up and I had to reboot it. Just using the xc3sprog command also gives no response.terriblefire wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:33 pmBaffled why? Thats the cheapest way to do it. You can buy an expensive XIlinx programmer as an alternative.Gleylancer wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 8:27 pm Is this the only way of updating the TF536? I'm baffled by the sheer amount of hardware and effort that's needed to do this. O.o
I assume there's something missing that's not posted in the guide, or the given wiring table is wrong, or everything self destructed.
This is exactly why I wanted to avoid the linux way. Nothing ever works on linux with me behind the keys.

Deleted the whole thing, recompiled and now it works for no apparent reason. B**** and you shall receive

Re: TF536 Firmare Update RC3
Too early... xc3sprog fails to verify. It will -always- give me a "mismatch at fuse" during verification, the fuse number always differs. UGH.
Re: TF536 Firmare Update RC3
I followed Linuxjedi's guide exactly with a Pi Zero W and a fresh Raspbian install and it worked fine for me, so can confirm the wiring and instructions are good.
